FOSTORIA — The ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital diabetes education department will offer a class to help diabetics manage their disease from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
The class will be held in the conference center on the hospital’s lower level, entrance 2.
A physician referral is required to participate.
The class will teach individuals more about the disease, treatments, monitoring and preventing severe complications. It will be taught by a diabetes educator, dietitian, physical therapist, pharmacist and social worker.
The course has a fee billable to insurance and preregistration is required. Financial assistance is available through ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Foundation’s Diabetes Fund. For more information call Shirley Conley at 419-436-6629.
