FOSTORIA — St. Wendelin Catholic School has adopted a new program where transfer students in grades one through 12 can try a tuition-free quarter during the 2014-2015 school year, before committing to a full year’s tuition.
Students must be a transfer student not enrolled at St. Wendelin during the previous academic year.

The school is also alerting the parents of its students to the availability of Ohio Educational Choice (EdChoice) scholarships.
The government-funded scholarships are available to incoming kindergarten and first-grade students for the 2014-2015 school year. Approximately 4,000 are available. Eligible families who meet income guidelines will earn up to $4,250 to attend a private school of the family’s choice. The scholarships can be renewed annually.
The first application window ends April 18. The second application window is from July 1-31.
