The Hancock County Department of Job and Family Services will hold its Pinwheels for Prevention “planting” today.
The event is held annually to mark April as Child Abuse Awareness Month.
A ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 120 W. Sandusky St., followed by the installation of blue pinwheels in the lawn of the Hancock County Courthouse.
Each pinwheel represents a child abuse case reported to Child Protective Services in Hancock County last year.
