In celebration of Earth Day, Habitat for Humanity of Findlay-Hancock County’s ReStore will hold a donation drive the week of April 21.
Donations of gently used cabinets, appliances, furniture and household items are sought as a way to divert usable materials away from landfills. Sales from the donations allow Habitat to fund new home builds and home repair projects.
Donations are tax-deductible and free pick up is offered by calling 419-429-1400 or sending an email to Restoredonation@habitatfindlay.org. Donations may also be dropped off at ReStore from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Habitat for Humanity of Findlay-Hancock County built its most recent home, its 30th, for the Myers Gallagher family. The family purchased the home with a no-profit loan, and their monthly mortgage payments will be used to build more Habitat houses.
