The Findlay Art League’s 66th annual May Show opens at 5 p.m. Friday, in conjunction with ArtWalk.
Awards will be presented at 7 p.m. The opening and artists’ reception is open to the public.
The May Show is a members-only show and showcases artwork by local and regional talent. Media include everything from watercolors to intaglio prints.
The best of show award went to James Andrews for his watercolor “Sunrise.” First Place went to Ron Fox, “Not in a Box, Not with a Fox,” graphite; second place to Robert Minto, “Teapot,” stoneware; and third place to Isaac Smith, “Heidiland, Switzerland,” oil. Honorable mention awards went to Connie Weasel, “Vermont Deer Camp,” acrylic; Beth Ziss, “Flower,” fused glass; Kelly Massillo, “Hands Tied by Fate,” acrylic; Isaac Smith, “The End,” intaglio print; and Teresa Straley Lambert, “Pink Window,” digital color photo.
The judge was Kory Hubbell, a senior graphic designer for Hewlett Packard and owner of his own business, HubbellArts. Co-chairs of the show are Connie Weasel, Kelly Massillo and Jean Cossey.
Gallery hours for the May Show are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The show will close at 3 p.m. May 30.
