Cygnet alumni banquet planned

BOWLING GREEN — The biennial Cygnet alumni banquet will be held May 31 at the Bowling Green Country Club, 923 Fairview Ave., Bowling Green.
There will be a social hour and cash bar starting at 4 p.m., followed by a buffet at 5 p.m.
Jim Burnside and Kenny Searfoss will present a program.
In 2004, Cygnet High School was demolished. Burnside went through the school before and after the demolition and took over 70 photographs. Many of the large Cygnet graduating class pictures that once hung on the walls in the school are on display at the Wood County Historical Society. All of these pictures will be shown on a large screen at the banquet. Searfoss is providing the equipment needed for the presentation.
The banquet is open to the public. The cost is $20 per person. Reservations are due by May 17 and seating is limited to 100. For an invitation or more information, contact Phyllis Smith Rensch, 308 E. Broadway, North Baltimore, 45872, or call 419-257-2245.
