First Church of God, Risingsun
RISINGSUN — The First Church of God in Risingsun will host an open house and dedication ceremony for phase two of its building project on Sunday.
Tours will be given from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A community carry-in supper will be held from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The dedication ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.
The expansion has added 11,550 square feet to the church and consists of a gymnasium with a stage, restrooms with showers, eight classrooms, a kitchen and service area, secretary’s office and a pastor’s office with a separate entrance.

First Lutheran
First Lutheran Church, 109 E. Lincoln St., will confirm 10 young people at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday.
The confirmands are Emily Betts, Lisa Clemence, Lori Clemence, Michael Leonard, Audrey Leopold, Adrienne Masterlasco, Taylor McCutcheon, Cynthia Napier, John Ried and Jaden Tabler.
The service marks the completion of a two-year study of Martin Luther’s catechism. A reception will follow the service in the church lounge, hosted by the Hannah Circle.
A free community dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall and will feature sloppy joe sandwiches, fresh fruit, salad, dessert and beverage. Panera bread will be available to take home.

McComb Church of Christ
McCOMB — The McComb Church of Christ, 400 Ackerly St., McComb, will host the Mustache Dash 5K run, as well as the Little Whiskers Run for children 8 and under, on May 10. The races are fundraisers to benefit the McComb Food Pantry.
Registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. with the Little Whiskers Run at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K run at 9 a.m.
The cost is $20 to participate in the 5K run and $8 in the Little Whisker Run.

Mount Blanchard UM
MOUNT BLANCHARD — The United Methodist Women and the trustees of Mount Blanchard United Methodist Church will host a beef and noodle luncheon, with a sundae bar, immediately after the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.
A freewill offering will be collected for church improvement projects.

Our Lady of Consolation
CAREY — May is the beginning of the pilgrimage season for the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Beginning Sunday, and continuing each Sunday through the last Sunday of October, an outdoor rosary procession with the statue of Our Lady of Consolation will take place at 2:30 p.m. Devotions will also be offered. The May crowning of the statue of Our Lady of Consolation will be held on Sunday during devotions.
A Mother’s Day buffet will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11 in the Shrine Cafeteria.
May 25 is the Feast of Our Lady of Consolation. The Rev. Charles Ritter, administrator of the Diocese of Toledo, will entrust the Diocese to Our Lady at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on May 24. The noon Mass will be in Italian and English, celebrated by the Rev. David Ross of Lima.

Trinity Lutheran, Jenera
JENERA — Youths will be confirmed in the Christian faith at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera.
The confirmands are Sarah Elizabeth Curth, Abigail Elizabeth Heldman, Kylie Nicole Rausch, Aimee Grace Ritter, Eric Joseph Ritter and Savannah Elizabeth Stahl.
A regular service will be held at 8 am. Beginning at 9:20 a.m., the confirmands will give a review of Bible teachings in a question and answer format.

Truck Stop Ministries
NORTH BALTIMORE — Truck Stop Ministries will host a dinner concert May 11 at the Iron Skillet restaurant at the Petro Truck Stop, 12900 Deshler Road, North Baltimore.
Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the concert at 6 p.m. featuring Heart Song.
