FOSTORIA — ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital and the Fostoria Area Health Ministry will host the “Healthy, Wealthy and Wise” health fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stacy’s Place, the former UAW Hall, 625 Plaza Drive, Fostoria.
Free screenings will be available to participants including: blood pressure, blood sugar, body fat analysis, bone density, skin damage, osteoporosis/bone density, and diabetic foot screen. A cholesterol/stroke screen will be offered for a $10 fee.
The health fair features an educational program series, too. All programs will be held in the small meeting room at Stacy’s Place, and will last approximately 20 minutes. Individuals who attend one or more of the programs will have a chance to win one of 50 door prizes.
The program schedule includes:
10:30 a.m., Kelly Morse, licensed genetic counselor, family history and cancer screenings.
11 a.m., Dr. Arjun Das, nephrologist, kidney disease.
11:30 a.m., Dr. Matthew Currie, ophthalmologist, cataracts.
Noon, Dr. Brian Hecht, orthopedic surgeon.
The fair will include more than 55 information booths including area, regional and state organizations with resource information, give-away materials and promotional items.
A complimentary light lunch will be offered to the first 300 attendees.
