Michael Momany was installed as president of the Findlay Rotary Club at the club’s weekly meetingÂ Monday.
Momany has been a Rotarian since 1985 and has served on numerous committees, chairing the Service Above Self Program, and Community Projects committees.
Momany is the resource development director for the United Way of Hancock County. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan in special education, and a master of arts degree from the University of Findlay in education administration.
He is a member of the inaugural class of Hancock Leadership and has received numerous awards, including the National Distinguished Community Leader Award, Ohio Distinguished Leader Award and Outstanding Community Volunteer Award. He has volunteered with the Literacy Coalition of Hancock County, Hancock Leadership Alumni Association, Hancock Youth Leadership, the Convention and Visitors Bureau and Family Resource Center Board.
“I am humbled to serve as president of an organization that has given back to the community in so many ways” Momany said.
He resides in Findlay with his wife, Deb.
Other Rotary officers are: Jeff Winkle, president-elect; Robin Ridge, treasurer; John Harrington, secretary; Sharon Rooney, sergeant-at-arms; and Char Simons, immediate past president.
