Tamera Rooney was installed as president of the Flag City Morning Rotary club Wednesday.
Rooney, communications director for United Way of Hancock County, is a charter member of the club which started in 2005. She has served on the board for many years and is a past president. She co-chaired Findlay’s Bicentennial celebration in 2012, which was overseen by the Flag City Morning Rotary club.
Rooney also serves as board president of Awakening Minds Art, is president-elect for the Fire Relief Foundation and is on the advisory committee for Boy Scouts of America Black Swamp Council Learning for Life/Explorers. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador group. In 2012, she was the recipient of the First National Bank “Go Local” Small Business Champion of the Year award issued by the Chamber of Commerce.
“Morning Rotary has a strong history of being a very active club and we will continue to serve the community with great energy and enthusiasm,” Rooney said.
Rooney and her husband, Phil, reside in Findlay.
