Putnam County libraries offer Lego programs

The Putnam County District Library will offer a “Lego/Robot Making with Mel Rode” family event at three library locations.
The program will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Continental, at 10 a.m. July 19 in Fort Jennings and at 6 p.m. July 31 in Ottawa.
A “Lego/Knex Freeplay Build Competition” will be held at all Putnam County library locations this month. Participants may submit their original Lego creation between July 14-17 at any library location. Judging will be the day of the program at the location submitted. First-, second- and third-place winners will be announced at each location.
The schedule is: July 14 — Ottawa, 11 a.m., Kalida-Union Township, 1 p.m.; July 15 — Fort Jennings, 11 a.m., Pandora-Riley Township, 1 p.m.; July 16 — Leipsic-Edwards-Gamper Memorial location, 11 a.m., Ottoville-Monterey Township, 1 p.m.; and July 17 — Columbus Grove, 11 a.m., Continental, 1 p.m.
