Spectrum of Findlay Dinner Fundraiser @ Findlay Moose Lodge
Apr 1 @ 6:00 pm

An April 1 event will be a murder mystery, a dinner theater — and a chance to raise funds for an organization working to be a resource for the area’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Tickets are now on sale for Spectrum of Findlay’s fundraising dinner. Spectrum is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Barry Ratzlaff, a board officer, said it started as an effort to raise money for a local gay pride picnic.

The April 1 event will be an original murder mystery, “Babylon Broadway Murder Mystery” dinner/theater night, with interactive audience participation. It’s written and produced by Jim Toth, and performed by the Northwest Ohio Theatre Fraternal Association. Proceeds go toward the pride picnic.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is at the Findlay Moose Lodge, 1028 W. Main Cross St.

The event will include door prizes and a buffet-style prime rib dinner including honey brown-sugar ham, vegetarian ziti, potatoes, green beans, vegetables and cheese, desserts and more.

Spectrum is providing most of the food, although the prime rib will be cooked for them.

The show is open to attendees age 16 and older. There will be a cash bar for those 21 and older.

Seating is limited. Tickets are available at $30, presale only before March 25, by sending money order or check to Spectrum of Findlay, 1910 Candlewick Drive, Findlay, OH 45840.
