The Findlay-Hancock County Public Library is hosting a craft fest on May 4. Titled “May The 4th Be With You Craft Fest,” the event will be at the library and will last from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Lindamood Room. It’s open to all ages and will include games and crafts designed around the Star Wars movies and characters. Costumes are optional. No registration is necessary.

Scheduled for the first Thursday of each month visit the Hancock Historical Museum for a variety of informative and educational presentations on a wide range of topics relevant to Findlay and Hancock County Ohio. Bring your lunch and enjoy learning about our community from a diverse group of presenters. Brown bags are free for museum members and $5 for nonmembers. Lunches from Main St. Deli are available for purchase for an additional $5.50. Lunches include sandwich, chips, cookie and drink.

Leadercast 2016, a webcast on what it means to be a visionary leader, will be a day-long program May 6 which includes lunch and monthly leadership meetings after the event. The program will be presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 6 at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky. Leadercast is being broadcast from Atlanta to more than 100,000 people worldwide. Wyandot County Young Professionals is supporting its members by providing 50 percent reimbursement for event registration. Cost is $65 per person. Come down to Hardin County for the Kenton Toy Collectors Cast Iron Toy Show to buy, sell, and trade toys. The Kenton Toy Collectors Club will be on site to appraise toys. Only vintage toys are allowed and vendor space is available for $25 per table. The Kenton Toy Collectors exist under Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. to preserve the history of the Kenton Hardware Company and its Kenton Toys, educate its membership and the public, and care for, maintain and expand the museum’s collection.

A monthly writer’s group will be hosted by the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library in the Lindamood Room. The group will meet Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 16, April 20 and May 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Kay Cocklin, a local author and retired teacher, is offering the writing workshop. The workshop is intended for those interested in fictional writing. High school students are welcome. No professional experience is required. Registration is required for each session.
