Scheduled for the first Thursday of each month visit the Hancock Historical Museum for a variety of informative and educational presentations on a wide range of topics relevant to Findlay and Hancock County Ohio. Bring your lunch and enjoy learning about our community from a diverse group of presenters. Brown bags are free for museum members and $5 for nonmembers. Lunches from Main St. Deli are available for purchase for an additional $5.50. Lunches include sandwich, chips, cookie and drink.

Join the Mazza Museum for their 21st annual Summer Conference! Featuring artists Rafael Lopez, Mark Teague, Jonathon Bean, Aaron Becker, Elisha Cooper, David Costello, Sophie Blackall, Steve Johnson, Lou Fancher, and Deborah Freedman. A painting class will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Putnam County District Library’s Columbus Grove branch. Jeanne Beutler will be the instructor. Participants will paint a bird using watercolors. Join artist, naturalist and park volunteer Sharon Hammer Baker for a workshop that will explore nature journaling techniques, including observation skills, sketching, drawing, painting and writing. Work from live and mounted wildlife as well as from fresh and collected materials from the parks to enhance your experience. Participants should bring their own sketch book and art supplies. Recommended for teens and adults.

A Farm Solar Power Twilight Tour will be held at Jerry McBride’s farm in Dola from 7 to 8:30 p.m. as part of the County Twilight Tour program. The event will allow time to see first-hand a recently installed and operating solar power system. There will also be a presentation inside the barn. Participants can also bring a copy of their electric bill to the program if they would like a basic solar assessment provided at no charge. Refreshments will be provided.

Ohio Star Quilters of Findlay will meet at 9:30 a.m. July 27 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1701 Tiffin Ave. Quilters will make veterans’ quilts following patterns demonstrated at the June meeting, and are asked to bring red, white and blue fabrics to the meeting. Assistance will be provided. Those attending can bring a sack lunch and continue quilting following lunch. Anyone interested in quilting is invited to attend. Hancock County Farm Bureau is making kids’ (and adults’!) dreams come true with its first annual Kids Dream Day Event. Channel your “inner farmer” and drive a new full-size tractor on the fairgrounds track and test your maneuverability skills on the farm equipment obstacle course. All proceeds benefit the Hancock County Humane Society. $5/person or $10/family, free for Farm Bureau members.
