Magician Lee Terbosic 8:00 pm
Magician Lee Terbosic @ Ritz Auditorium in Old Main
Nov 7 @ 8:00 pm
Magician Lee Terbosic has come a long way since his middle school days performing magic tricks at Pizza Hut tables to now performing for audiences that often top out over 20,000 people. On Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. he’ll be performing at the University of Findlay’s Ritz Auditorium in Old Main. The event will cost community members $10 at the door. Those with a valid university identification will be admitted free. Terbosic has developed his own brand of comedic magic and turned it into an act that includes sleight-of-hand and mind reading. Terbosic has one of those jobs that lets him live out his dream by performing his brand of magic and comedy for audiences across the country. With sold-out theater shows, performances for Fortune 500 companies, and national TV credits under his belt, Terbosic is busy. Terbosic is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Every year he crisscrosses the country to perform at corporate functions and college campuses. Terbosic has performed for celebrities like Aaron Paul, Wiz Khalifa, Paula Abdul and Andy Grammer. In 2015 he was named the Magician of the Year by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities. He began performing magic at the age of 12 after seeing his older cousin Robin, who was a magician from Brooklyn, New York, perform at a family party. Soon after, Terbosic’s weekends were filled with trips to the Carnegie Library in Homestead, Pennsylvania, to check out magic books, and visits to The Cuckoos Nest, a magic shop on the south side of Pittsburgh. He was hooked and began reading and studying as much as possible about the art of magic. Over the years, he perfected his skills and performed for anyone who would give him just a few minutes of their time. Terbosic’s first gig came at the age of 14 when he began performing at the local Pizza Hut every Tuesday night. He would perform table-to-table entertaining patrons, and after each performance Terbosic was paid with a free pizza. He continued his passion throughout high school, where he became known for freaking fellow students out in the cafeteria and gained recognition around the city while working with corporations and performing at social functions. He is a 2008 graduate of Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business. After college he jumped right into being a full-time professional comedy magician. In recent years Terbosic has created, produced and performed sold-out performances of his one-man theater show titled “52 Up Close,” created a YouTube/Instagram magic series called “Anything Is Possible” and worked with numerous charities and nonprofits. Terbosic has seen a wide variety of audiences, and made a successful career out of something that most people only consider a hobby. He has found something that brings joy to not only himself but so many others. The UF audience is invited to meet Terbosic at the end of his show. To learn more about him, visit his website at The Ritz Auditorium, located on Old Main’s second floor, is accessible via an elevator on the building’s southwest side. Terbosic’s performance is presented by the University of Findlay’s Campus Program Board, a student-led group that strives to bring high-quality, diverse entertainment to campus.
