Scheduled for the first Thursday of each month visit the Hancock Historical Museum for a variety of informative and educational presentations on a wide range of topics relevant to Findlay and Hancock County Ohio. Bring your lunch and enjoy learning about our community from a diverse group of presenters. Brown bags are free for museum members and $5 for nonmembers. Lunches from Main St. Deli are available for purchase for an additional $5.50. Lunches include sandwich, chips, cookie and drink.

The Log Cabin Series is a year-long program inspired by the Log Cabin books by Ellen Howard. Children ages 6-10 will experience hands-on history fun in the authentic 19th century Crawford Log House. Each session will include storytime by the hearth, followed by activities including cooking, crafts, games, and more. On March 7th we will read “The Log Cabin Quilt” by Ellen Howard. Possible activities may include quilting, building your own log cabin, and making snow. Please call 419-423-4433 to register by the Friday before each session. Parents are not required to accompany the child.

Six coffees from three distinct regions will be presented by Brook Hanes, local specialty artisan coffee roaster from Fort Findlay Coffee. Food pairings will be offered to complement each coffee by the Buggy Whip Bakery, Ohio Log House, and Bistro on Main, and live music featuring Dan Heidt of Columbus.

On Nov. 18, 1859, E.P. Jones & Co. purchased a distillery producing whiskey, bourbon, and rye. In the spirit of E.P. Jones, the first bourbon event will be held at the Jones Mansion on Saturday, March 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will feature Josh Daily from MiddleSpirits of Columbus, purveyors of whiskey and vodka. This event will include a horizontal tasting comparing three Kentucky whiskeys with MiddleSpirits Ohio 0Y0 Brands, live music featuring Eddie Molina of Findlay, and food pairings along with four handcrafted 1860s vintage bourbon specialty drinks. Tickets are $30 and are available at the Arts Partnership or by calling the Jones Mansion at 419-427-5915
