5 Romantic Dinners for Two

Valentine’s Day arrives in just three days. THREE! Do you have romantic plans yet… either for a gift or for dinner? Eating out is just crazy on Valentine’s Day. Prices are jacked up and the atmosphere in the restaurants tends to have a cheesy vibe attached to it. My suggestion is to make dinner at home. You’ll save money, and what’s more romantic than someone making you dinner? Here are 5 Romantic Dinners for Two to consider making for Valentine’s Day dinner. Go for it!

1. Pan-Seared, Oven-Roasted Pork Chops with Pear Mostarda: This sounds fancy and all, but it’s really very simple to make. My husband claimed that this is the best dinner I’ve made him in months. I’d say that’s kind of romantic, wouldn’t you?

2. Linguine and Clams: This recipe comes together with just a few ingredients you probably already have in your pantry (plus clams). and it results in a fabulous meal for two.

3. Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad: (hint… if you don’t wish to grill in February, just pan-fry your chicken). Add a delicious soup like this Golden Winter Soup, and you’ve got a lovely lighter meal.

4. Pan-Seared, Oven-Roasted Filet Mignon: This fork-tender cut of beef is my personal favorite meal for Valentine’s Day.

5. Lobster Stuffed with Crab: I think pretty much anyone would be happy with this meal. Lobster seems luxurious, but you can often find it at the larger club stores for a pretty good price. And you’d probably be surprised to find that making this dish at home is STILL cheaper than going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day.
