Findlay drumlines ready for Sunday competition

The Findlay High School Indoor Drumline will host an Ohio Indoor Performance Association competition Sunday at Findlay High School. The competition will include performances by indoor drumlines and color guards from throughout Ohio, including the FHS Indoor Drumline, Shockwave, the Findlay Middle School Drumline and the Donnell Percussion Ensemble.
Sunday’s competition will begin at 10:55 a.m. Tickets are available at the door and are $8 for adults and children 5 and over. There is no charge for children 4 and under.
The indoor drumlines and the color guards will compete in one of several classes determined by each unit’s experience and school affiliation. A panel of judges will determine each performing group’s final score.
The Findlay Indoor Drumline will perform at 11:45 a.m.; Shockwave at 11:27 a.m. and the Donnell Percussion Ensemble at 12:03 p.m.
Concessions, benefitting the Findlay Indoor Drumline, will be available for purchase in the cafeteria. Also available are Mini Melts ice cream, basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing.
The competition is being organized and staffed by parent volunteers. Over 1,000 performers from over 30 color guards and indoor percussion lines are expected.
