UPPER SANDUSKY — Nominations for the First Responder of the Year award, presented by the American Red Cross of Wyandot County, are now being accepted.
The First Responder of the Year Award recognizes a local firefighter, law enforcement officer or emergency medical responder for significant contribution to local first response delivery. Last year’s award was presented to Carey Fire Chief Chad Snyder. Snyder is now a member of the Red Cross advisory council in Wyandot County and will be helping choose this year’s winner.
Nomination forms are available at all fire departments in the county, at the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Department, Carey and Upper Sandusky police departments and from the Red Cross. Nominations must be received by Feb. 10.
The award will be presented at the Red Cross Boots and Badges event March 1 at the Sycamore Community Center.
