First Mennonite
BLUFFTON — First Mennonite Church in Bluffton will host Brad Yoder in concert at 4 p.m. Feb. 16.
Yoder has been featured at the Mennofolk festival for many years, and has played in Bluffton at the Town Hall Concert Series, Common Grounds and other venues.
He frequently placed in Pittsburgh City Paper’s top three slots for “best acoustic/solo artist,” including four first-place awards. He averages over 150 shows a year, in Pittsburgh and throughout the east coast and Midwest.
Yoder has performed at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Pittsburgh Folk Festival, Three Rivers Arts Festival and the North by NorthEast Music Conference in Toronto.
Donations for the musician will be taken at the door.

First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, 2330 S. Main St., will host a valentine community dinner from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the great room.
The menu will include red, white and vegetarian chilis, cornbread, a vegetable tray, cookies and Jello.
The church offers a free dinner, open to the public, on the second Sunday of each month. It is hosted at a different time than meals hosted by other congregations.
A recycle trailer from Litter Landing will be available in the church parking lot today and Sunday.
The Thrive youth group, for youth in sixth through 12th grades, will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the great room. For more information, call Sandra Kreuger at 419-423-2112.
Kids in Christ, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the fellowship hall. The group is learning the books of the Bible through stories, games and crafts. For more information, call Amy VanAtta at the above number.

Good Friday Ecumenical Choir
CAREY — The Good Friday Ecumenical Choir, also known as Adoramus, is looking for members to sing a musical reflection at noon on Good Friday, April 18, in the Basilica of Our lady of Consolation, Carey.
Singers high school age and up are welcome.
This is the fourth year the choir has performed.
Rehearsals will be held in the choir loft of the basilica on Sunday afternoons, beginning at 1 p.m. Feb. 23. Rehearsals will not be held on March 9 and 16.

Mount Blanchard UM
MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Social Concerns Committee of Mount Blanchard United Methodist Church will sponsor a valentine luncheon, open to the community, at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 16.
The menu will include appetizers, tossed salad, ham balls, potatoes, green beans, dinner roll, cookie and a beverage.
There will be entertainment during the meal and a surprise afterward. Those attending are encourage to wear something red.

Pandora-Gilboa churches
Registration for the monthly food boxes provided by the churches of Pandora and Gilboa for households in the Pandora-Gilboa Local School District is due by 5 p.m. Feb. 15 by calling 419-384-3038.
Boxes will be available at 11 a.m. Feb. 22 at Grace Mennonite Church, 502 E. Main St., Pandora.

St. Paul’s UM
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, which suffered damage to its sanctuary after a fire Jan. 30, will hold worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at The Lighthouse, 10055 W. U.S. 224.
The congregation will hold just the 9:30 a.m. service, at The Lighthouse, for the next few weeks as repairs at the downtown church continue.
Nursery care will be available, however, Sunday school and Kids’ Worship will not be held during the temporary relocation.
Encounter will resume Wednesday at St. Paul’s, 218 E. Sandusky St. The monthly Grab ‘n Go meal will be served Thursday as usual.
