OSU Extension offers exploration program

The Ohio State University Extension of Hancock County is offering “STEMurdays” for students in grades five and six.
The program allows students to explore food science, electricity, rockets and robotics through hands-on experiences.
Programs include: “Dairy and Kitchen Science,” 9 a.m.-noon March 1; “Investigating Electricity,” 9 a.m.-noon March 22; “Robotics,” 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 17; and “Rockets Away,” 9 a.m.-noon May 31.
There is a free book with each session and anyone attending three of the four sessions will get a T-shirt.
All programs are at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center, 7868 Hancock County 140. To register, call 419-422-3851. Each program is first-come, first-served and is open to 25 youths.
The program is funded by a grant from the Ohio 4-H Foundation.
