The Dr. Marion V. Arbogast scholarship has been established through the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation to benefit a graduating senior of McComb High School who is pursuing a career in a health care field.
Arbogast, a McComb resident, was born in Seneca County in 1930 and graduated from McCutchenville High School. He received undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from Ohio State University and began practicing dentistry in 1960.
Arbogast has had a practice in McComb for several decades and built McComb Family Dental. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Northwest Ohio Dental Society (past president), the American Legion and the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation, and has been a Rotarian for over 50 years and a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation.
Arbogast has four children, including Dr. Nancy Dysinger who carries on her father’s practice in McComb.
The first $1,000 scholarship will be presented in May. Applications will be accepted through March 26 via the Community Foundation website. Visit www.community-foundation.com for more information.
