Head Start registration procedure changed

The HHWP Community Action Commission Head Start Program has changed registration dates.
All Head Start classrooms must be full before enrollment staff leaves in June. Applications will still be accepted anytime but if they are turned in after June, they will need to be held until staff is available to process them, at which point classes will be full. The change is due to budget restraints.
Parents can pick up an application at the Winfield Child Development Center, 545 Winfield Ave., or the Community Action Commission building, 122 Jefferson St., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or they may call 419-423-3147, ext. 307 or 309, to schedule another time. Applications can also be mailed or printed from the website at www.hhwpcac.org.
Head Start is a no cost, family-focused preschool program for low to moderate income families with children age 3 through kindergarten age eligibility, including children with special needs.
