The 2014 Backyard Mission Trip’s community-wide kick-off meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Winebrenner Seminary, 950 N. Main St.
Sponsored by the Findlay Ministerial Association, the second annual event is scheduled April 26. Organizers this year hope to bring together more than 2,000 volunteers to help with more than 200 projects ranging from yard work to minor repairs at homes throughout the city and Hancock County.
Prospective volunteers can sign up at the kickoff as can people who want to fill out an application for help with a project. Help will be available to those who have trouble filling out the application.
Information about the Backyard Mission Trip will also be given.
Last year’s effort brought together 1,100 volunteers who worked on 166 projects.
