The University of Findlay’s Phi Alpha honor society and Phi Sigma Sigma sorority will host the second annual Take Back the Night event Thursday in the university’s Alumni Memorial Union.
Mike Pistorino, of Cleveland, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, will speak at 7 p.m. Anyone is welcome to share their testimony after Pistorino’s presentation.
The evening will end with a march around campus to raise awareness about violence, particularly domestic or sexual violence.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can contribute to the Clothesline Project on display at the Alumni Memorial Union by decorating a T-shirt as a story of survival, support, or in remembrance of someone who lost their life to an act of violence.
Several “silent witnesses” from the Northwest Ohio Silent Witness Project will be present to raise awareness about domestic violence.
All events are free and open to the public.
