Program planned for older adults

Adults 55 and older are invited to attend a free educational program at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Primrose Retirement Community, 8580 Township Road 237.
Roger Jenot, a retired American history teacher from Carey, will portray President Abraham Lincoln and discuss aspects of Lincoln’s life, including his move to Indiana from Kentucky, the death of his mother and when he saw slavery for the first time during a visit to New Orleans.
The program will last approximately one hour.
Upcoming class topics include “What to Pick at the Picnic,” by nurse Breann Lammers; “Avoiding Scams and Fraud,” by Hancock County Sheriff’s deputy Tim Saltzman; and “Unusual Facts About Animals,” presented by veterinarian Erica Row with VCA Findlay Animal Hospital.
