Patty Coffman of McComb has been selected as the next chief executive officer of Camp Fire Northwest Ohio.
The action came at a recent meeting of the agency’s board of directors. The three-month-long search attracted more than 25 applicants. Coffman will officially assume her new duties May 1.
Coffman joined Camp Fire Northwest Ohio in 2008. She currently serves as director of advancement and is responsible for fundraising, community relations, public relations and event planning. She served on the Camp Fire board from 2007 until her appointment to the staff.
Previously, Coffman served as vice president for education and volunteer programs for the Lupus Foundation and held various positions during a 20-year employment at Marathon Petroleum Co.
Active in the community, Coffman is presently membership committee co-chair of the Findlay Rotary Club and a member of the Findlay-Hancock County Workforce Development Coalition. She is a 2007 graduate of Hancock Leadership and has served as a co-chair of the Chamber Ambassadors and as chair of the United Way Night of Giving.
A native of Forest, Coffman holds an associate’s degree from Tiffin University and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management at the University of Findlay.
Camp Fire board president Jameson Botimer said that Coffman has the enthusiasm, experience, skills and vision that the council needs at this time.
“Patty understands the mission of Camp Fire and is passionate about extending the impact that the council’s work can have on youth in the region,” he said. “We had excellent candidates to consider and Patty rose to the top. Patty is the right person to lead Camp Fire at this time, and we are very happy to have her as our new CEO.”
