The Engage youth council, formed by the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, will now fall under the leadership of the Findlay Family YMCA.
Engage is a philanthropic and service-learning youth council comprised of Hancock County students in the eighth grade through college. Some of the council’s annual activities include assisting with Coats for Christmas, the Zach Morgan Memorial Soccer Tournament, teaching other youth about the importance of philanthropy and serving as a grantmaking council that supports youth-driven service-learning projects.
“The Y is known for youth development, so this will be a great addition to the YMCA,” said Brent Finlay, Findlay Family YMCA president and CEO. “We appreciate the leadership that the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has provided this program since 2002 and for their continued support.”
Recruitment for the program will begin in August.
