Ada gospel sing
ADA — A gospel sing will be held from noon to 5 p.m. June 28 at the band shell of the Ada War Memorial Park, 401 N. Park Drive, Ada.
Performers will include Calvary’s Love, Jimmy Bloomfield, Jericho Road, Chris Baldwin, the Singing Crows, 4-4-1 Quartet, Rita Motter, Sandi and Kaylene, Marlene Vance, Donna Sue, Jake Reel, Master’s Promise, Randy Long, Jim Greer and the Mac-a-Chee Valley Folks.
Food will be available. Spectators should bring their own lawn chairs. A love offering will be taken for the singers.

Good Hope Lutheran
ARLINGTON — Good Hope Lutheran Church, 300 S. Main St., Arlington, will hold a collection of recyclable items from 9 a.m. to noon today in its north parking lot.
A worship service will be held at 5 p.m.
Sunday worship services are at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Children attending the past week’s vacation Bible school will present a program of their songs and stories at the 10 a.m. service. Afterward, a free hog roast lunch will be served. Members are asked to bring side dishes to share. Non-member students and their families are invited as guests and do not need to bring anything.
Sunday school will be held at 8:50 a.m.
McCOMB — The McComb United Methodist Church, 204 High St., McComb, will dedicate its new sign during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.
The sign is in memory of longtime church members Charles N. and Miriam S. Rader.
Miriam counted offertory money and served funeral dinners and Charles was finance chairman for over 20 years.
The couple were also active community volunteers. Charles was a member of the McComb school board and the Rotary Club, and Miriam belonged to the McComb American Legion Auxiliary, was a past president of the McComb Query Club and a member of the Ohio Library Association. Charles was the manager of Cadillac Glass Company for over 20 years and Miriam was the director of the McComb Public Library for 44 years, retiring in 2003 at the age of 85.
The electronic sign was purchased with a donation from the Raders’ children.
Mount Blanchard UM
MOUNT BLANCHARD — A contemporary worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Mount Blanchard United Methodist Church.
Music will be provided by the Broken Ground praise band.
PANDORA — A free community meal will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall of the Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.
The meal this month is provided as a “thank you” to the community by the Reichley/Diller Family. The menu will be shredded chicken sandwiches, side dishes, chips, dessert and beverage.
Parkway Christian Church, 15035 Ohio 12 East, will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
Items will include baby and toddler clothes, sporting equipment, a 60-inch projector television and home goods.
Proceeds will be used to support the high school youth group’s mission trip to Arizona, where they will work on a Native American reservation.
St. Wendelin Roman Catholic
FOSTORIA — St. Wendelin Parish in Fostoria will host its vacation Bible school, “SonTreasure Island,” from 9: 30 a.m. to noon July 7-11.
The program is open to children in grades kindergarten through four. The registration fee is $15 per child. Registration forms are in the parish gathering space or available online at www.stwendelin.org.
VANLUE — The Vanlue Community Church will host a fundraiser for the Hancock County Gospel Pavilion at 6 p.m. June 28.
The concert will feature the music ministries of Jim Boedicker, of Ada; Latter Rain, of Dunkirk; and the Seekers, of Lima.
The gospel pavilion is open during the Hancock County Fair.
Refreshments will follow, and an offering will be collected for the Hancock County Fair Ministries.
Sunday worship services at the church are held at 10 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.
