The American Red Cross of Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot Counties is offering baby sitter’s training for youth ages 11-15 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 18.
The training teaches young people how to care for infants and children, handle emergencies such as injuries and accidents, recognize safety and hygiene issues and communicate with parents.
Topics will include the business of baby-sitting, understanding and caring for children, safety skills and holding, feeding and diapering infants and toddlers.
The training will be held at the Hancock County Red Cross office, 125 Fair St. The cost is $85. Students will receive an interactive CD-ROM featuring an activity booklet with games, songs, recipes and other activities.
