Summer events planned at Bluffton library

BLUFFTON — The Bluffton Public Library has scheduled several events in July and August.
Every Monday in July, the library is featuring a Fizz, Boom Read-themed movie at 1 p.m. The movie is free, as are popcorn and beverages.
Story time for children ages 3-5 is offered at 6:30 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. Tuesdays.
A naturalist with the Allen County Park District will lead a water program for children in kindergarten through grade five at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Registration is required.
Registration is still open for the 3 p.m. session of the Lego Brain Builders group on Wednesday.
Jammin’ @ the Library, informal performances by acoustic musicians, will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Phil Martin of the Blanchard River Watershed Project will present “What’s Up With Water?” Registration should be made at the library.
Artitude, for youth in grades six through 11, will meet at 2 p.m. Friday. Registration should be made by calling or visiting the library.
The library will offer technology classes at 5:30 p.m. July 22 and 29. The July 22 meeting is titled, “I’ve Got iPads in my Classroom. Now What?” The July 29 topic is “My School Offers Moodle. What Can I do With It?”
Private Medicaid/marketplace assistance counseling will be offered July 23. Appointments with a certified navigator who can guide patrons through the application process should be made at the library.
Also on July 23, the library will host “It’s Alive” at 11 a.m. for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Participants will learn animal facts and create animal art.
Author John Becker will discuss his book “Frenemies for Life” at 11 a.m. July 24.
The last day to report reading minutes and submit prize entries is July 26. Winners will be notified the following week.
The Gluten Free/Allergy Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. July 28.
Tutor Me Paperless, a tech/computer class, will be offered Wednesdays in August. Registration may be made in person or by phone. Participants should specify what mode or feature of technology they want to discuss.
