ADA — The 32nd annual Harvest and Herb Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ada.
The event will fill Main Street from Highland to College avenues.
More than 125 vendors are expected. Booths are 12 feet wide by 8 feet deep and are available while they last.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. with line-up at 9 a.m.
At noon Ada’s mayor, David Retterer, will welcome attendees. The Ada VFW color guard will raise the flag, and Alison McClinton will sing the National Anthem.
Following the opening ceremonies, the 2017 festival queen will be announced. Queen candidates include Caitlyn Stover, Lyric Jones, Madison Preston and Nikki Lehsten, all Ada High School seniors.
Entertainment is planned from noon to 4 p.m. in the depot parking lot. The entertainment schedule follows:
- 12:45 p.m. — Ali McClintock, country variety show.
- 1:30 p.m. — Emma Ferguson, pop and country show.
- 2:15 p.m. — Mark Hodges, oldies but goodies.
- 3:30 p.m. — The Wild Steelions, steel drum band.
The annual event is sponsored by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.
