NORTH BALTIMORE — A run and walk to benefit the International Rett Syndrome Foundation is scheduled for May 6 at E.A. Powell Elementary School, 500 N. Main St., North Baltimore.
Rett syndrome is a disorder of the nervous system. The run/walk will support research and funding to find a cure.
The event will include a 5K run, a one-mile fun run and a one-mile walk along the Slippery Elm Trail. Registration will be held at the elementary school.
Packets for the 5K run can be picked up from 1-1:45 p.m. Packets for the fun run/walk can be picked up between 1 and 2 p.m. The fun run/walk will start at 2:45.
The entry fee is $20 for adults and $15 for high school students and younger. Participants can purchase a T-shirt for $10 while supplies last.
Awards will be provided for the top individuals in each age group, as well as the overall male and female runners.
