Family Yoga Session @ Bluffton Public Library

Joy Stemen, a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor, will hold a family yoga session at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bluffton Public Library.

The class is open to ages 8 and older. Registration is required, and those attending should bring a yoga mat and water bottle.

Phillips Discovery Center Open House @ Oakwoods Nature Preserve

Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center in Oakwoods Nature Preserve will offer a variety of activities during an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Bird watching through the Windows on Wildlife, mounted animals and live animals on display, nature videos, field guides and nature books for reading, a touch table, puppets, and seasonal displays/exhibits will be available.

Program specialist Chris Allen with the Hancock Park District will share facts about rocks and fossils on display from 10 to 11 a.m.

The free, family program requires no registration.

Lazy Sunday Evening Stroll for Adults @ Litzenberg Memorial Woods

A “Lazy Sunday Evening Stroll for Adults,” for individuals 18 years old and over, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Litzenberg Memorial Woods with a leisurely-paced walk through the area.

Participants should meet at the gatehouse. The event is free and requires no registration.

Dorcas Carey Public Library Summer Reading Program Party

The summer reading program at the Dorcas Carey Public Library continues through July 21.

All children up to 12th grade must have their books read and turned in for credit by that date. Children up to fifth grade must read 10 books, and children in sixth through 12th grades must read five books.

A swimming and pizza party will be held for children up to fifth grade from 10 a.m. to noon July 23, with a rain date of July 24. Teens and tweens in grades six through 12 will have a pizza party at 4 p.m. July 25.

The drawing for the community scavenger hunt baskets for adults and teens/tweens will be held Aug. 1.

Indoor Box Lacrosse @ The Cube

The City of Findlay Recreation Department is offering indoor box lacrosse on Tuesdays at The Cube, 3430 N. Main St., beginning July 24.

The five-week program is available for boys and girls in grades 1-12. Students in grades 1-5 will meet from 6-7 p.m., and those in grades 6-12 will practice from 7-8 p.m. Equipment is required for the scrimmages.

Registration is $25. Call 419-424-7176 or stop by the recreation department at The Cube from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays to register.

Bluffton Public Library Summer Reading Program Party @ Bluffton Swimming Pool

The conclusion of the Bluffton Public Library’s summer reading program will be celebrated with a pool party from 9:30-11:30 a.m. July 30 at the village swimming pool.

Children ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should turn in their logs, collect prizes and receive a pool party ticket at the library. Tickets are available starting Monday, and the last day to turn in logs is July 27.

Back to School Kickoff Party @ Forest-Jackson Public Library

A coloring contest is being held at the Forest-Jackson Public Library, sponsored by Tristan Joy of Edward Jones in Upper Sandusky and the Wyandot County Young Professionals.

Coloring pages are available at the library and should be returned by July 25. Everyone who enters will receive a goody bag. One winner per grade will be selected to receive the grand prize of a fully stocked backpack.

Winners will be announced at the Back to School Kickoff Party at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at the library.

Flag City U.S.A. “Cars and Coffee” Cruise-In @ Panera Bread

The Flag City U.S.A. “Cars and Coffee” Cruise-In, hosted by Panera Bread, is having its first event of the season. Guests can enjoy the cars, take pictures, talk with their owners, have some Panera Bread coffee, pastries or breakfast. No judging or trophies involved. Participants showing their vehicles are advised to park in every other lined spot. The Cruise-In will continue every first Sunday of the month through October.
