An “Introduction to Archery” program will be held in Oakwoods Nature Preserve Thursday for those at least 9 years to adult, hosted by Hancock Park District.
Sessions will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. for individuals 9 to 14 years old and from 7 to 8 p.m. for individuals 15 years and older.
The program, led by a certified archery instructor, will be held adjacent to Dold Lake, down from the front parking lot.
Registration at $10 per person can be made online at www.HancockParks.com or at the park district administrative offices, 1424 E. Main Cross St., by 4 p.m. Thursday. The program will be held with a maximum of 10 participants per session.

“Thrive Over 50 … Healthy Living Coaching” will be provided by Annie Hayes, a certified personal trainer and certified nutrition coach through Cornell University from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 25 and Aug. 22 at 50 North.
Attendees will learn tips on ways to improve nutrition, ward off disease, build their immune system, reduce body inflammation, improve brain health, conquer weight concerns and develop an accountability plan. The presentation focuses on longevity and “progress over perfection.”

An essential oil make-and-take program will be held at 6 p.m. June 28 at the Bluffton Public Library.
Participants will make their own hand scrub from simple household ingredients using essential oils. The cost is $6, which includes a container and all ingredients.

Students entering grades 1-12 are invited to participate in “Broadway in Your Backyard,” July 9-13.
Students will work with teaching artists to learn about the performing arts while staging a showcase production for the community. Age-appropriate workshops such as creative dramatics, acting, movement, music, improvisation and theatre games will also be offered. Students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to attend a performance featuring a professional Broadway music director and performer.
Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 9-12 for grades 4-12 and from 8:30 a.m. to noon for grades 1-3. The showcase performance will be held at 7 p.m. July 13.
Registration for grades 1-3 is $80 and $70 for each additional family member. Registration for grades 4-12 is $160 and $135 for each additional family member. A limited number of scholarships are available.
