Basket Weaving Class @ Lindamood Room at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library

A basket weaving class for adults will be held at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Lindamood Room.

The class will be making a small market basket.

Registration is required by visiting the registration desk. A material fee of $14 must be paid at the time of registration.

Beginner Watercolor Class @ Putnam County District Library -- Ottawa

A beginner watercolor class led by Jeanne Beutler will be held from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Putnam County District Library, Ottawa. Participants will paint a sand dollar.

The fee is $10 and all supplies are provided.

Classes in flower arranging will be offered at three of the Putnam County District Library branches in August.

Sessions are scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Thursday in Fort Jennings; 5-6 p.m. Aug. 14 in Pandora; and 6-7 p.m. Aug. 16 in Kalida. The fee is $7 and all supplies are provided.

Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training @ Hancock County ADAMHS Board

Individuals worried about a loved one’s substance use can sign up for a class focusing on the Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training model (CRAFT).

The class will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on six consecutive Tuesdays, July 10 through Aug. 14, at the Hancock County ADAMHS Board, 438 Carnahan Ave. A maximum of 10 participants will be accepted into the class.

Participants will learn new techniques and solutions to help move their loved one toward recovery, build a healthier relationship and improve their personal quality of life. The class is structured around the book “Getting Your Loved One Sober” and will be facilitated by local community members who were trained by the author, Dr. Robert J. Meyers.

The class is free, and participants are encouraged to purchase the book, though copies will be available to borrow. Call the ADAMHS Board office at 419-424-1985 to register.

50 North NASA Series: “Neil’s Wild Ride” @ 50 North

50 North is cooperating with The Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, the hometown of Neil Armstrong, to present a new NASA series.

Registration and a $2 fee are required for each program. All programs begin at 1 p.m. Dates and times include:

• Aug. 20, “Neil’s Wild Ride”: Neil Armstrong had many narrow escapes as a test pilot. He also had a narrow escape on his first mission in space aboard Gemini VIII. Registration is due Aug. 16.
