Participants can polish their mixology skills when Brand Ambassador Sailor Retro of Indian Creek Distillery is featured in a pre-Prohibition-era-themed whiskey and cocktail class, “The Art of the Cocktail”. Students can sample the early American-style whiskey and learn some of Sailor’s secret tips and cocktail tricks, while sipping on craft cocktails. Food samples will be on hand. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and they cover approximately two to four samples and a Prohibition-era cocktail. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Mulberry St., Bloomdale, is having a “Rally Day” in the church parking lot from 4-8 p.m. Sept. 30. Entertainment includes a free performance by the band Mile Marker one, along with food, crafts for kids and games.
The American Cancer Society will present Dinner on Broadway, an urban dinner with local fare, from 5-10 p.m. Sept. 30.
The one-of-a-kind dinner will host 150 people seated at one long table stretching along Broadway Street in downtown Findlay. Guests will enjoy a meal prepared by local chefs, paired with wine selected specifically for the dish. Musical entertainment, an auction and a raffle will round out the event.
