A free Thanksgiving dinner will be held Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church at the corner of Main and Pratt streets in Ottawa. Serving is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The dinner is open to anyone looking for a hot meal and a place to gather for Thanksgiving. It is hosted by Tri-R Guns, the Ron Deatrick family and their friends.
StoneBridge Church, 2111 Stonehedge Drive, will host its annual free community Thanksgiving Day meal from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is open to anyone who is hungry, would like some company or simply doesn’t want to cook. It is estimated that 309 volunteers, as well as the support of many local companies and groups, will be needed. In 2016, over 2,000 people enjoyed 64 turkeys, 30 hams and various side dishes. A drive-thru will also be available, along with the usual dine-in and delivery options. Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, 1888 Wyandot County 96, Carey, will host a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday. The event is open to the public and walk-ins are welcome. Call 419-664-1028 to request a ride.
