Hancock County Veterans Resource Fair @ Elks at Northridge
Jun 24 @ 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

The fifth annual veterans resource fair Sunday will allow area veterans in Hancock County and surrounding counties to learn about the benefits they earned during their military service and what is available in their community to support them.

The event, hosted by Hancock County Veterans Service Office and Elks BPOE 75, will be held at the Elks at Northridge, 900 W. Melrose Ave. It will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

“This is a great way for us to provide an event where veterans can get questions answered and make it easier for them to take advantage of the many local, state and federal benefits they may be missing out on,” said Nichole Coleman, executive director of the veterans service office. “Many of the vendors who will be there this year are different than the past two years. We are hoping this will bring back the veterans who have attended previously and that new veterans will come as well.”

Many exhibitors will be available to meet and talk to veterans about veterans administration health care, education and other benefits from the federal and state governments, state and local wellness and other services.

Some of the vendors include Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, the Toledo Vet Center, the University of Findlay, 50 North, Honor Flight and FOCUS.

The Elks will provide a veterans appreciation dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Dinner participants should contact the county veterans service office at 419-424-7036.
