Hancock Historical Museum Farm-to-Table Dinner 6:30 pm
Hancock Historical Museum Farm-to-Table Dinner @ Scarlet Oaks Estate barn
Sep 7 @ 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm
The Hancock Historical Museum will host a Farm-to-Table Dinner from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 in the Scarlet Oaks Estate barn, 13754 U.S. 68. The restored 1850s barn and surrounding countryside will provide atmosphere for the meal prepared by chefs Jonah Agner and Nancy Corle-Agner, the owners of The Food Store in Bluffton. A carefully selected wine pairing will accompany each course. Jonah and Nancy use local ingredients to create unique dishes that combine the best elements of down-home cooking with a modern flair. The pair are influenced by international flavors and cuisine, as well as the “food you remember your grandma making.” While the five-course dinner will feature locally sourced meat, Jonah and Nancy enjoy dreaming up creative vegan and vegetarian dishes that appeal to the masses. They frequently sell out of their creations from their food truck on Saturday mornings at the Bluffton Farmers’ Market. Just Jazz Live, an acclaimed band from the Mansfield area, will provide the evening’s entertainment. The group includes several featured singers along with guitar, flute and saxophone. Dinner costs $125 per person, with advance registration for the limited-seating event required by Sept. 4. For more information or to register, call the museum at 419-423-4433 or visit https://hancockhistoricalmuseum.org Proceeds from the dinner will benefit educational programming and preservation efforts by the Hancock Historical Museum.
