50 North has announced its summer season of Friday Night Live, featuring a variety of local talent including: • Friday, 6:30-8 p.m., Indoor steel drum show with Tim Mattis: Enjoy the talents of retired Findlay High School Band instructor and director of Pantasia, Tim Mattis, during a live steel drum performance and outdoor picnic. Registration and a $10 fee are required by Monday. • Aug. 3, 6:30-8 p.m., 50 North Cabaret with Celia Stockton: Through live vocals and piano stylings, Celia Stockton takes participants on a sentimental journey called “Try to Remember.” Participants will enjoy hors d’oeuvres. Registration and a $10 fee are required by July 30. • Sept. 7, 6:30-8 p.m., Karaoke Night: Bring your voice and willingness to participate. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and awards will be offered for the best singers. Registration and a $7 fee are required by Sept. 3.

End of Summer/Beginning of Fall Program @ Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve

A program about the end of summer and beginning of fall, for 3- to 5-year-old youngsters accompanied by an adult, will be presented by Hancock Park District staff on Monday in the Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve. The same program will be held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The free program requires no registration. The program will include a story and crafts about fall wildflowers. Classic Movie Night: “Stagecoach” @ Hancock Historical Museum

The Hancock Historical Museum, 422 W. Sandusky St., will host its monthly free classic movie night at 7 p.m. Friday with a screening of “Stagecoach.” Starring John Wayne, the film won two Academy Awards and was nominated for five more in 1940.
