Mornings with Mommy will begin Sept. 18 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, and continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. the first and third Mondays and Tuesdays. The educational playdates are open to infants through preschool-age children and their moms, dads, grandparents and nannies. Each session will have its own theme and will include devotion, language and literacy activities, arts and crafts, sensory activities and more. Registration is required at tlcjenera.org or by calling 419-326-4685. The cost is $5 per family (not per child), per session.

Winter storytime registration is underway at the Bluffton Public Library. Limited spaces are available, and parents or caregivers can register children via email, phone or in person. Storytime is for preschool children ages 3-5 on either Monday nights or Tuesday mornings. Children may join storytime at the start of the month in which they will have their third birthday. “Hot Tea Tuesdays” returns to the Bluffton Public Library today and continues through February. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday, the library will have hot water, a selection of teas and a variety of goodies for patrons to enjoy.

The schedule is as follows: Jan. 16 — Fort Jennings, 10 a.m.; Jan 17 — Leipsic, 9:30 a.m., Pandora 10:30 a.m.; Jan. 18 — Continental, 10 a.m.; Jan. 23 — Kalida, 10 a.m.; Jan. 24 — Ottoville, 10 a.m.; Jan. 25 — Columbus Grove, 10 a.m.; Jan. 30 — Ottawa, 6:30 p.m.; and Jan. 31 — Ottawa, 10 a.m.

“Chill Zone” continues at 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays in January at the Bluffton Public Library. “Chill Zone” is a safe space for anyone in grades six through 12 to hang out and relax at the library. Activities include gaming, socializing, themed events and crafts. Snacks are provided. Themes include: ’80s aerobics today; movie and popcorn Jan. 23; and Kawaii doodle class Jan. 30.

Transition Bluffton will host a meeting focused on emergency preparedness at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bluffton Town Hall. Randy Augsburger will present “Prepping: A Sustainable Approach,” covering how to take practical steps to prepare your family for emergencies, assess your own preparedness, and deal with major and minor disasters that could reasonably happen in northwest Ohio.
