First Presbyterian Church Music and Arts Camp @ First Presbyterian Church

Habitat for Humanity 101 @ Lindamood Room at Findlay-Hancock County Public Library

Habitat for Humanity 101 will be held at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lindamood Room.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness. Learn about volunteering, donating time and money, and how to become a partner family.

Imagination Station Extreme Science Demonstration @ Findlay-Hancock County Public Library

The Imagination Station will host an “extreme science demonstration” at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The program is part of the SummerRead program and will explore fundamental science concepts with a twist. Demonstrations will be presented under the skylight in the Adult Services Department.

Registration is underway for an elementary-age art camp being held at Bluffton Family Recreation in August.

The two-day camp is open to youth who have completed first through fourth grades. The camp will take place from 3-5:15 p.m. Aug. 1-2 at the rec center, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

Art supplies and snacks will be provided. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Call 419-358-4150 to register.

The Forest Fiber Fanatics, a group of knitters and crocheters, will meet twice a month at the Forest-Jackson Public Library beginning Tuesday.

Those attending may work on their own projects, or help work on projects for charity. The group will meet from 6-8 p.m. the first Thursday of the month, and from 1-3 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Decorating Cupcakes Class @ Putnam County District Library -- Continental Branch

Helen Deboze will lead classes on decorating cupcakes at 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Putnam County District Library’s Continental branch and at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at the main branch in Ottawa.

The class is open to anyone 9 and older. The fee is $3. Those attending should bring sanitized scissors, a container to take their cupcakes home and an apron if they desire. Each person will decorate five or six cupcakes.

Registration is required by calling the Continental location at 419-596-3727 or the Ottawa library at 419-523-3747 by Aug. 1.
