Men, women and children are welcome for this march to speak out against domestic violence and sexual assault, walking one mile in “her shoes” (high heels). On-site registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with an opening ceremony planned for 11:30.

Event organizers are seeking event sponsors, individual walkers, teams of walkers and volunteers. Signup is available online at www.openarmsfindlay.com, and community members also have the option to be a “virtual walker.”

Miss Ohio, Sarah Clapper, will join Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik as a guest judge for the day.

The event will also feature a free kids’ zone with face painting, arts and crafts and an inflatable bounce house, along with food vendors and massage stations. An awards ceremony will immediately follow the walk.
