A Findlay man was sentenced to prison Wednesday for his seventh impaired driving conviction.
Donald L. McFadden Jr., 40, was sentenced in Hancock County Common Pleas Court to 18 months in prison for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on March 2 in the city. The charge is a fourth-degree felony.
McFadden apologized in court for his alcohol problem and said he could have killed another driver.
“It’s been off and on for years,” he said.
Judge Reginald Routson said the crime was McFadden’s seventh conviction. McFadden will be required to complete a drunken driver program in prison if found eligible.
Routson also ordered a license suspension lasting 10 years and a $1,350 fine.
