Three people hurt in U.S. 68 crash

Three people were injured early Monday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 68, south of Findlay.
Alexis Connolly, 21, of Kenton, was driving north on U.S. 68 about 12:14 a.m. when she slowed to turn right onto Jackson Township 172, according to Deputy Barry Turner of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Connolly’s 2004 Honda was struck from behind by a northbound dump truck driven by David Grames, 51, of Grand Rapids, according to Turner.
Hanco Ambulance transported Connolly and two others in her car to Blanchard Valley Hospital, Turner said. The sheriff’s office did not identify the other occupants.
Grames, who was not injured, was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, Turner said.
Connolly’s vehicle was heavily damaged and towed by Lowery’s Towing. Arlington Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the accident scene.
