Trial dates have been set for two Findlay men charged with murder in the death of Joe Gutierrez III.
Ralph G. Harris III, 20, and Montre O. Robinson, 21, on Thursday returned to Hancock County Common Pleas Court for hearings in their cases.
Harris is scheduled for a final pretrial on Jan. 27 and a jury trial on Feb. 18.
Robinson has an assigned March 16 hearing on any pending motions, and a May 12 jury trial.
Judge Joseph Niemeyer also approved up to $2,000 for Harris, who is indigent, to hire an independent investigator.
Harris and Robinson are charged with shooting Gutierrez, 34, of Findlay, on Nov. 8 at the intersection of East Foulke and Crystal avenues.
Police arrested the two men on drug charges during a traffic stop less than 20 hours after the shooting, according to the department. They were found in an Oldsmobile with about $3,000 in cash and clothes, according to police.
The murder charges are unclassified felonies and allege the shooting occurred from a vehicle. Both defendants also are charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly altering the vehicle.
The men have pleaded not guilty to all charges and remain in jail on $1 million bonds.
