A relatively small snowfall left area roads coated and slippery Friday night.
Level 1 road advisories were issued Friday night in Hancock and Seneca counties. Numerous motorists were sliding off roads in the region.
Findlay’s Water Pollution Control Center said 0.7 inch of snow fell Friday. There is a total of 3.5 inches on the ground in the city, according to the center, which keeps Findlay’s weather records.
The Ohio Department of Transportation garage in Findlay measured 1.5 inches of snow Friday, and said there is now 4.5 inches on the ground.
The National Weather Service predicted another 2 inches could fall today and tonight.
Less than an inch of snow is possible during the day today, followed by another inch tonight, the weather service said.
There also will be a chance of snow showers Sunday night, Monday and Monday night, the weather service said.
