Margaretta board schedules meeting on Findlay candidate

The Margaretta school board is planning to meet today to discuss the employment of its superintendent, Edward Kurt.

Kurt is one of two finalists for the Findlay superintendent job.

The Margaretta board plans to go immediately into executive session and does not plan to take any action at its meeting.

Shane Pochard, Findlay school board president, said he could not confirm whether Kurt has been offered the job in Findlay. Pochard said the announcement of who will fill the position could come Friday.

The other finalist, Tod A. Hug, is superintendent at Ayersville schools.

Brent Welker, superintendent of Eastwood schools, was a finalist before he withdrew his application after fire destroyed his district’s administration building and bus garage.
