Interstate crash kills West Virginia driver

NORTH BALTIMORE — A two-vehicle crash killed one person early Tuesday morning on Interstate 75.
Stephen W. Humphries, 22, of Nitro, W.Va., was driving a 2014 Nissan Versa north on I-75, about a mile north of North Baltimore, when he hit a tractor-trailer that was stopped for an accident at about 1:50 a.m., according to the Bowling Green post of the State Highway Patrol.
Humphries was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Jessica King, 23, of Kanawha, W.Va., was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo and is listed in critical condition, according to the patrol.
The driver of the truck, Kenneth Mossbarger, 42, of Tipp City, was not injured.
Troopers are investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, according to the patrol.
I-75 northbound was closed for about two hours after the crash. The North Baltimore Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service and Wright’s Towing assisted.
