One hurt in Ohio 235 crash

MOUNT CORY — Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in a single-vehicle injury accident in Union Township Wednesday night.
The accident occurred about 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Ohio 235 and Union Township 47. Christopher E. Fletcher of Benton Ridge failed to maintain control of his vehicle, which traveled off the side of the road and struck a utility pole, according to the Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol.
Power lines fell onto the vehicle, delaying efforts to remove Fletcher from the wreckage.
Fletcher suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima by medical helicopter, the patrol said. He was wearing a seat belt and was the only person in the vehicle, according to the patrol.
Fletcher was cited for driving under the influence and failure to maintain control of his car, according to the patrol.
Hanco Ambulance, Union Township firefighters and Lowery’s Towing assisted at the scene, according to the patrol.
